A graduate of Youngstown State University, Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science in Education in Middle Childhood Education with a concentration in English Language Arts, Social Studies. She also earned an endorsement in reading. Kristin continued her education at YSU, earning both her Principal’s License as well as a Masters in Educational Administration with a 4.0 G.P.A.

Kristin continued her administrative work by becoming the Special Programs Coordinator and Assistant Principal for the Campbell City Schools beginning in August 2017. Throughout her time here, Kristin has collaborated with various public and private partners to secure strategic funding and grant opportunities.

Kristin has also led the district in full implementation of the UDL Framework. In doing so, she led a book study of both UDL Now! and Universally Designed Leadership: Applying Udl to Systems and Schools. This research and professional development has allowed her to become an educational consultant with Novak Education.

Kristin recently transferred to a new role within the district. She is now the Director of Academics for the district’s stem school, Northeast Ohio IMPACT Academy. Here, Kristin is in charge of overseeing the implementation of Problem Based Learning as well as many other Curriculum related decisions.

In March 2020, Kristin was diagnosed with Influenza A which led to several other
complications including Sepsis. As a result, Kristin became a quadruple amputee, losing both her arms below her elbows along with her legs below her knees. Although this has been a life altering experience, Kristin is determined to not let this define her and to continue her work in the educational field as well as to inspire others to overcome all obstacles.
