Personal Bio
Hello! My name is Ashley Wilfong, and I work in accounting at a non-profit organization (YWCA Mahoning Valley) as the Chief Finance Officer. I am a graduate of Springfield Local High School. After high school I pursued my undergraduate degree in accounting from Youngstown State University, then continued my education at Ohio University to obtain my master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Non-Profit Management.
I have a strong passion for non-profit work and giving back to my community. I am involved with several other non-profit organizations through volunteer work, or serving on their board of directors. The boards I serve on include 4-H Camp Whitewood, and the Mahoning Valley Young Professionals. I think it is really important to give back to your community in any capacity. As a community we can either rise together or fall together, and by putting in a collective effort we can help support the long-term success.
Outside of my professional life I love being outdoors, and spending time with my husband, two dogs and cat. Traveling is important to me to be able to see new parts of the world, and get to relax. It is essential to take care of yourself so that you can be your best self when you return to the work ahead. Travel and family time allows me to be at my best.
Thank you for engaging with my profile. I hope to have some lasting impact on your future success. Best of luck in your future endeavors!

Best Piece of advice
“Not every day is good, but there is something good in every day.”
This quote means a lot to me because the message helps keep me optimistic each and every day. Sometimes when you get into the small details of your work, you forget to take a step back and look at the bigger picture. It can feel frustrating and like you’re not accomplishing anything, but in reality, there is always at least one good thing going on. It really helps to not allow the entire day or work to feel negative by finding one positive in the situation.
